All-New Social Media Hub to Give Churches Tools to Create Effective Communications Strategies
Worship Facilities Conference & Expo and Center for Church Communication Partner for WFX Dallas November 9-11 Event
Framingham, MA – May 26, 2011 – Worship Facilities Conference and Expo (WFX) announced today a partnership with the Center for Church Communication (CFCC) to establish an immersive learning environment to demonstrate and educate churches on social media technologies, techniques and communication strategies at WFX Dallas 2011, taking place November 9-11 in Dallas, Texas. In addition, CFCC will provide content support and outreach for the live internet video broadcast during the event on November 9-10.
“WFX is singularly focused on equipping church teams to utilize their resources, talents and technology to advance the kingdom of God,” says Jim Wagner, General Manager, EH Events. “In a media-rich world, churches are actively seeking methods to more effectively communicate to both the churched and the un-churched in ways that are routed in sound Christian teachings. This partnership with CFCC strengthens and advances our efforts to educate churches on the use of social media tools and communication strategies that can support the vision and ministry efforts. CFCC is uniquely qualified to help and we are privileged to partner with such a talented and experienced organization.”
CFCC will lead two consecutive days of live internet video broadcasts from the WFX Expo Floor. Broadcasts will feature educational sessions and live panel discussions from church leaders, highlighting communication strategies that have worked. Video viewing will be available online during scheduled event times. Thousands of church leaders and their representatives will convene in Dallas for the face-to-face event, with more expected to view these special broadcast sessions online.
November 9, 2011 – Multi-Site Churches
November 10, 2011 – Social Media and Church Communication
"The Center for Church Communication is thrilled to partner with WFX for this incredible opportunity to share our experience and learnings from helping churches around the globe communicate more effectively," said Tim Schraeder, Co-Director, CFCC. "As the way our culture communicates changes, the way churches communicate is changing, too. Oftentimes, those changes begin on Sunday mornings in worship spaces, as more churches are learning to leverage new media like texting, twitter, and other forms of social media."
Now in its seventh year, WFX is presented by Church Production and Worship Facilities Magazines and EH Events in conjunction with The American Institute of Architects Interfaith Forum on Religion, Art and Architecture Knowledge Community, and sponsored by Christianity Today International. The event brings together thousands of church and industry leaders and hundreds of exhibitors from around the world to guide facilities and technology investments and opportunities for houses of worship.
WFX Dallas 2011 will offer two dynamic keynote presentations, more than 45 Conference sessions, over 40 Hands-On Training classes, over 200 exhibitors on the expo floor, behind-the-scenes church tours, and invaluable networking opportunities.
