Worship Facilities Conference & Expo Announces Keynote Presenters for WFX Atlanta in November
Framingham, MA – August 9, 2010 – Worship Facilities Conference & Expo (WFX) announces its lineup of dynamic keynote presentations for WFX Atlanta 2010, scheduled to take place November 3-5 at the Cobb Galleria Centre in Atlanta, Georgia. WFX is the leading event where church leadership teams connect with tools and technology to create meaningful places and powerful worship experiences.
This year's keynote presentations feature:
Ed Stetzer, Director of LifeWay Research
Opening Keynote: Missional Ministry in a Spectator World
Wednesday, November 3
10:15am - 11:00am
In this dynamic opening keynote, hear Ed Stetzer talk about his experiences of planting, revitalizing and pastoring churches. Stetzer has trained pastors and church planters on five continents, holds two masters degrees and two doctorates, and has written dozens of articles and books. As a result of his leadership and research, churches from all over the country will gain valuable insight through his observations, helping them define the proper role, purpose and application of facilities and technologies in their own ministries.
Stetzer's primary role is President of LifeWay Research and LifeWay's Missiologist in Residence. He is a contributing editor for Christianity Today, a columnist for Outreach Magazine and Catalyst Monthly, serves on the advisory council of Sermon Central and Christianity Today's Building Church Leaders, and is frequently cited or interviewed in news outlets such as USAToday and CNN. Stetzer is also Visiting Professor of Research and Missiology at Trinity Evangelical Divinity School, Visiting Research Professor at Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary, and has taught at fifteen other colleges and seminaries.
Shaun King, Lead Pastor of Courageous Church
Keynote: How Digital Launched a Church
Thursday, November 4
10:15am - 11:00am
The power of the Internet cannot be ignored and the story from Courageous Church in Atlanta makes this ever so clear. Attendees will learn about the grassroots methods that pastor Shaun King used to create and build his ministry with a limited budget, from Facebook connections to Twitter to his personal blog. King will deliver an in-depth look at his journey from concept to church.
Prior to his role as pastor of The Courageous Church, King worked for nearly ten years as a motivational speaker and youth advocate for some of the leading non-profits in the country following near-death experiences. In 2003, he was recognized by the State of Georgia for speaking to more incarcerated young people than any other individual in the state when he spoke over 300 times at twenty different prisons and youth detention centers throughout the year. A regular guest commentator on NPR, King is often called “The Facebook Pastor” for his creative use of social networks and technology to promote courageous causes and the Gospel message.
“We’re honored that Ed Stetzer and Shaun King have accepted our invitation to keynote WFX 2010," said Jim Wagner, General Manager of Events at EH Publishing, producer of WFX. “The WFX audience had told us they’d like to hear from these church leaders, and they enthusiastically accepted our invitations to keynote.”
Now in its sixth year, WFX is hosted by Church Production and Worship Facilities Magazines and EH Events. The event brings together thousands of church and industry leaders and over 200 exhibitors from around the world to guide facilities and technology investments and opportunities for houses of worship.
In addition to keynote presentations, WFX offers more than 35 Conference sessions in five completely updated tracks, over 200 exhibitors on the expo floor, training sessions, behind-the-scenes church tours, and invaluable networking opportunities.
Access to keynote presentations is included in all registration packages. In order to help churches achieve their ministry goals, WFX is offering its lowest rates through August 31. As part of the Sizzling Summer Savings, attendees will be able to save up to $300 on their registration.
